TL;DR
Data Scientist (AI) (Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI): Building predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions and deploying machine learning and AI models for Global Trade Services with an accent on trade compliance, intelligent automation, and data-driven decision-making. Focus on analyzing large-scale datasets, exploring generative AI and LLM solutions, and establishing responsible AI and model governance practices.
Location: Hybrid role based in Porto, Portugal; Krakow, Poland; Dublin, Ireland; Madrid, Spain; or Stansted, United Kingdom.

What you will do
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational improvements.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions that improve productivity, service performance, and trade compliance.
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning and AI models for critical business challenges.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes through advanced analytics and intelligent automation.
- Explore generative AI solutions for knowledge management, customer interactions, workflows, and employee productivity.
- Partner with customs experts, operations teams, product owners, and technology partners while contributing to the Data & AI roadmap.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI techniques in a business environment.
- Experience with SQL and large-scale data environments.
- Programming skills and experience with modern data science libraries and frameworks.
- Knowledge of predictive modeling, statistical analysis, experimentation, and machine learning methodologies.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with generative AI, large language models, and AI-powered automation.
- Experience with cloud analytics platforms and modern data architectures.
- Background in logistics, transportation, customs, supply chain, or international trade.
- Familiarity with responsible AI, data governance, and model lifecycle management.
