Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: United States

Base salary: $155,000–$200,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and build services and APIs for core trading platform capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Make architecture decisions and establish reusable engineering patterns and practices.
• Build reliable, high-performance systems with metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with product and design, contribute to the React/TypeScript frontend when needed, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, with experience building production services.
• Experience with service boundaries, API versioning, microservices or modular architecture, and asynchronous event-driven communication.
• Experience building distributed, highly available systems and working with PostgreSQL or SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
• Experience with observability and distributed tracing, production ownership, debugging, and incident response.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, and unit, integration, and system testing; clear communication of technical trade-offs is required.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, EKS, Helm, or GitOps experience with tools such as ArgoCD.
• React, TypeScript, SignalR, WebSockets, or other modern frontend and real-time communication technologies.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems, performance tuning, and incident leadership.
• Background in financial services, fintech, compliance-regulated environments, trading systems, market data, or brokerage operations.
