TL;DR
Systems Engineer III (Cybersecurity) (Infrastructure, Networks, and Security): Designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity architectures for software solutions serving energy cooperatives and communication organizations with an accent on Linux and Windows systems, endpoint security, firewalls, cloud platforms, and virtualization. Focus on investigating cybersecurity incidents, improving infrastructure reliability, automating administration with scripting and configuration-management tools, and supporting deployments across customer environments.
Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; travel to customer sites of up to 25% is required.

What you will do
- Evaluate technology products and platforms against business, technical, and budgetary requirements.
- Design and maintain infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity architectures.
- Lead infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, technical support, and change-control activities.
- Support root-cause investigations of cybersecurity incidents and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Resolve hardware, software, systems, and network-connectivity issues with customers, end users, vendors, and internal teams.
- Represent at conferences and industry engagements while using generative AI tools to improve productivity and problem-solving.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows environments, application stacks including IIS, Tomcat, Apache, and NGINX, and enterprise networking.
- Experience with switches, SPAN/mirror ports, NDR and SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, endpoint agents, EDR/RMM solutions, firewalls, VLANs, VPN/SSL, and Active Directory.
- Experience with centralized multifactor authentication solutions such as Duo, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, containerization, monitoring, automation, configuration management, and advanced scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites.
Nice to have
- Microsoft or Linux systems administration certifications.
- RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
