SAP Project Manager (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; permanent onsite position

What you will do

• Lead planning, governance, progress tracking, issue management, reporting, and stakeholder communication for large-scale SAP projects.
• Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, decision-making forums, and collaboration across local, regional, and global teams.
• Define Finance and Supply Chain business processes and requirements, including Fit-to-Standard workshops and As-Is/To-Be process design.
• Coordinate test scenario development, testing execution, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
• Drive business transformation, organizational change, user adoption, training, and communication initiatives.
• Track milestones, KPIs, risks, and dependencies while coordinating with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project management or PMO roles with hands-on project delivery experience.
• Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA and participating in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, or deployment.
• Experience with business process transformation or business process reengineering.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in multicultural environments, with effective communication and organization.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English required.
• Adaptability, a proactive approach, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with generative AI tools.
