Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: United States. The company supports fully remote to hybrid work arrangements, but the specific arrangement for this role is not stated.

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 annually, plus a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Build and ship features for services and APIs powering core trading platform capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment, with support from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested code focused on reliability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Improve existing systems through debugging, refactoring, instrumentation, and performance improvements, with occasional React/TypeScript frontend work.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of software engineering experience building and shipping production features.
• Solid proficiency in C# and .NET, including production service development.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, service integration patterns, and databases including SQL, schema design, and query fundamentals.
• Experience writing automated tests and applying testing best practices.
• Ability to debug production issues with guidance and take on increasing scope and responsibility.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working collaboratively in agile environments with changing requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Redis, NATS, Kafka, SignalR/WebSockets, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with observability tools, Docker, AWS, on-call work, or incident response.
• Background in financial services, fintech, compliance-regulated environments, trading systems, market data, or brokerage operations.
