Staff/Sr Staff Financial Analyst (FP&A)

What you will do

• Support annual operating plans, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
• Analyze consolidated P&L and cash flow results, forecasts, business drivers, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Prepare financial analyses, management reports, executive presentations, earnings release materials, and Board of Directors materials.
• Partner with business units, Sales, SCM, Accounting, and corporate functions to align assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
• Perform revenue, gross profit, operating expense, and operating income variance analysis, providing recommendations to senior management.
• Support profitability improvement, resource allocation, scenario planning, and automation of financial planning and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, or corporate planning in manufacturing, consulting, or audit.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including quantitative analysis, modeling, and scenario simulation.
• Advanced accounting knowledge or experience with corporate-level P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow simulation.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency (N1) and fluent business-level English.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of relevant FP&A, Accounting, or corporate planning experience.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with MDP, Global BI, Power BI, or other data management and analytics platforms.
• Professional accounting or finance certification such as CPA.
