Neuroscience Sales Specialist (Roanoke, VA) – Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (Neuroscience)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia, United States; territory includes Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Pulaski, Marion, and Martinsville. The role involves in-person and virtual customer visits, periodic domestic travel, and occasional overnight travel.

Base pay: $79,000–$157,500 annually.

What you will do

• Drive sales performance across the assigned territory by engaging healthcare professionals and mental health community centers.
• Build compliant, customer-focused discussions based on clinical needs and available marketing resources.
• Develop product and disease-state expertise to conduct in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals.
• Create local strategic and tactical plans, allocate resources, and manage territory budgets and expenses.
• Analyze local markets, customer structures, sales data, and performance metrics to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager, internal stakeholders, and other Neuroscience Sales Specialists.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant healthcare sales, account management, business-to-business sales, or recent active-duty military experience.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics, establish customer relationships, and communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong self-motivation, initiative, decision-making, collaboration, adaptability, and commitment to patient-centric care.
• Ability to work occasional meetings outside normal working hours and travel within the territory and domestically.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Launch, antipsychotic, or bipolar sales experience.
• Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI.
