Sampler Technician (Environmental Testing)

Location: College Station, TX, USA; collecting samples in and near College Station and shipping them to the Carrollton, TX laboratory.

Compensation: $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Collect, document, package, and ship environmental samples according to project-specific sampling and analysis plans.
• Support routine and non-routine environmental monitoring and data collection activities, including work at potentially hazardous sites.
• Assist with on-site sample preparation, analyses, mobile laboratory operations, and screening surveys.
• Complete documentation and maintain quality control for assigned work.
• Follow and enforce company health and safety policies while working in the field.
• Operate delivery vehicles and ship samples to the Carrollton laboratory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required for driving delivery vehicles.
• DOT Certificate required within 90 days of hire for shipping hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, read maps, follow directions, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for potentially hazardous waste facilities.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or academic background in science.
• Training or experience in site remediation and hazard protection.
• Local, state, or client-specific certifications.
