Industrial Electrician (Phoenix)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA; extensive nationwide travel required

Salary: $30–40 per hour

hirify.global designs, manufactures, constructs, commissions, services, and supports industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂.

What you will do

• Install conduit, wiring, electrical panels, disconnects, switches, transformers, and other electrical components.
• Install and test medium- and high-voltage automation and motor control systems for refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical layouts, functionality issues, PLC sensors, and control wiring during installations.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, electrical testing equipment, and other industrial tools.
• Support field construction activities, including insulation, welding, and painting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Proficiency in rigid conduit bending and installation up to 4 inches.
• Knowledge of three-phase motor systems, 480V AC motor control circuits, and the National Electrical Code.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationwide.
• Ability to operate industrial lifts and equipment and work in varying weather conditions with appropriate PPE.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and regular drug testing, background and driving record checks, with no DUI in the past 5 years; ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 75 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and standing for most of the shift.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLC installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and field problem-solving skills.
• Journeyman license.
