Senior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week from the office and 50% remote work.

Rate: Up to 150 PLN/h net + VAT on a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting pension, savings, and investment products.
• Build calculation engines that comply with tax regulations across multiple countries.
• Develop complex business processes, integrations with tax authorities, and customer-facing reports.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment.
• Translate financial business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with financial analysts.
• Mentor developers, review code and designs, and use AI-assisted development and automation tools responsibly.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java, especially Java 21, with Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of messaging protocols such as JMS and MQ.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for producing and consuming data.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, software design patterns, and OOP principles.
• Advanced English proficiency for communication in an international environment.
