Senior Java Software Engineer (Financial Markets)

Location: Katowice, Poland (Zabrska 19); onsite, full time. Readiness to travel to Belgium is required.

Salary: 9,600–16,000 PLN per month for Engineer III or 13,000–22,000 PLN per month for Engineer IV.

What you will do

• Design and develop robust backend services exposed through modern REST APIs.
• Build and evolve platforms supporting derivative products across equities, commodities, and interest rates.
• Automate the trading lifecycle from client quote requests through pricing and booking to risk management.
• Improve architecture, scalability, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance production performance, reliability, and resilience while troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with business experts, traders, and quants to deliver complex features.

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, concurrency, and modular system design.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Git, and SQL, with experience in automated testing.
• Knowledge of equity derivatives, trading concepts, and financial markets or fintech environments.
• Good written and spoken English, plus readiness to travel to Belgium.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with market data providers and APIs such as LSEG/RFA or Bloomberg B-Pipe.
