Payment Compliance Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead regulatory engagement with Bank Indonesia, including consultations, submissions, examinations, and follow-up on requests and findings.
• Advise Product, Business, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and other stakeholders on the regulatory implications of products, features, partnerships, and business initiatives.
• Drive regulatory approval and compliance assessments for strategic payment products and initiatives.
• Interpret Bank Indonesia regulations and translate them into practical guidance, controls, and actions.
• Manage regulatory self-assessments, audits, remediation programs, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions through sustainable closure.
• Build alignment with senior stakeholders and Bank Indonesia on regulatory positioning and execution.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related function in payments, financial services, or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of Bank Indonesia regulations covering payment systems, payment service providers, e-money, payment gateways, and related activities.
• Hands-on experience engaging with regulators, preferably Bank Indonesia, through consultations, submissions, examinations, or follow-ups.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical recommendations and demonstrate sound regulatory judgment.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, Communication, International Relations, or a related field.
