Cut Saw Operator (Aerospace Manufacturing)

STS Aerospace provides fabricated metal tubing for aerospace hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, waste, and exhaust installations.

What you will do

• Fabricate rigid and flexible metal tubing by cutting, grinding, forming, deburring, cleaning, swaging, and polishing.
• Perform visual and dimensional checks on materials and finished workpieces.
• Read blueprints and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cut.
• Select, position, and secure tubing in the saw, fixtures, and feeding devices.
• Set up and operate the machine while monitoring conformance to specifications.
• Maintain reliable attendance and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months of related experience or training may qualify.
• Ability to read blueprints or job orders and follow dimensional and tooling specifications.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly, use hands for handling and operation, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.
