Location: Hybrid role based primarily in Bloomington, Minnesota, with options to reside in the Milwaukee, Downers Grove, or Duluth offices. Travel up to 15%, including occasional overnight travel.
Salary: $148,500–$176,300 for the Milwaukee office; $137,750–$163,400 for the Duluth office. Compensation varies by experience, qualifications, and responsibilities and excludes ESOP and bonus compensation.

What you will do
- Plan and design municipal and industrial water, wastewater, stormwater, treatment facility, pump station, and collection or distribution system projects from concept through construction.
- Lead technical delivery for complex projects and guide multidisciplinary project teams across all design phases.
- Prepare or oversee engineering calculations, plans, specifications, hydraulic analyses, plant layouts, and equipment reviews.
- Perform quality control reviews and improve design standards to ensure accurate, consistent deliverables.
- Collaborate with municipalities, utilities, private developers, stakeholders, and regulators on sustainable infrastructure solutions.
- Mentor emerging engineers and support client relationships and new project opportunities.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer license and 20+ years of progressive water-wastewater engineering experience.
- Experience leading technical delivery for conveyance and treatment facility projects in the public and/or private sectors.
- Expertise in conceptual and detailed plans and specifications, hydraulic analyses, plant layouts, equipment selection, and collection system design.
- Experience with process evaluations, cost estimating, construction administration, permitting, and regulator coordination.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and direct technical work on projects with engineering fees exceeding $1 million.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcMap, SWMM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and/or Revit.

- Master’s degree emphasizing water and wastewater treatment.
- Established client and stakeholder relationships across the Twin Cities metro, greater Minnesota, and the upper Midwest.
