Senior Alliance Manager (AI Drug Discovery)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance required 3 days a week

What you will do

• Manage strategic alliances with pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences partners across research and development programs.
• Implement operational, governance, and communication frameworks for new collaborations.
• Oversee joint research, development, and data-sharing plans while tracking contractual obligations and strategic milestones.
• Act as the primary contact for key partners and manage alliance governance, Joint Steering Committees, and executive reviews.
• Support Business Development during collaboration negotiations, contracting, and operational due diligence.
• Identify value-creation opportunities, mitigate risks and conflicts, and develop alliance management processes, tools, and metrics.

Requirements

• Proven alliance management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
• Experience managing complex research, development, or data partnerships.
• In-depth understanding of collaboration agreements, legal and business terms, and contractual obligations.
• Knowledge of the end-to-end drug discovery and development process, from target identification and pre-clinical studies through clinical trials.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder-influencing skills without formal authority.
• Ability to work from the London office 3 days per week under the hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, biology, pharmacology, or computational sciences.
• Alliance management certification or interest in achieving CA-AM or CS-AP accreditation.
• Experience with data-sharing partnerships, discovery, pre-clinical or clinical programs, CRO relationships, or multi-party partnerships.
• Exposure to AI/ML, computational chemistry, or complex data management in drug discovery.
• Alliance Management experience in a large pharmaceutical company or AI-enabled biotech.
