Kubernetes & Cloud Integration Engineer (Rancher & RKE2)

What you will do

• Design, integrate, deploy, and maintain Rancher-managed RKE2 clusters across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
• Integrate certified CNIs and CSIs, including Calico, Cilium, Canal, Multus, and Longhorn.
• Develop cluster lifecycle automation with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and GitOps.
• Manage networking, storage, upgrades, security hardening, high availability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Maintain CAPONE and the OpenNebula CSI driver, troubleshoot multi-layer infrastructure issues, and support engineering teams and customers.
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, runbooks, and procedural guides while ensuring compliance with the RKE2 Support Matrix.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with distributed, multi-site, cloud-edge, or telecom-grade architectures and hardened Kubernetes distributions such as RKE2.
• Deep expertise with RKE2, Rancher Manager, certified CNI/CSI components, Linux engineering, networking, debugging, and security hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, GitOps, HA patterns, distributed systems, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Bash, Kubernetes controllers, and Kubernetes Cluster API solutions.
• Professional or native-equivalent English fluency with excellent written and spoken communication is required.

Nice to have

• CKA, CKAD, SUSE Rancher, or equivalent certification.
