What you will do

• Monitor assigned New Markets Tax Credit investment projects through underwriting, closing, the compliance period, and disposition.
• Review pre- and post-closing financial models, borrower financial strength, construction budgets, and construction draws.
• Organize, collect, verify, and analyze annual compliance data, borrower certifications, and community impact reporting.
• Assess project and partnership risks related to Section 45 NMTC provisions, allocation agreements, and operating agreements.
• Monitor loan defaults, mechanic liens, and other non-permitted project encumbrances, assign risk ratings, and prepare internal reports.
• Build relationships with investors, lenders, developers, and other financial partners while supporting community impact questionnaires and database integrity.

Requirements

• Four-year degree; a bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field is required.
• At least one year of professional experience.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to identify issues through borrower financial statement reviews.
• Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain effective professional relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a changing, cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience in asset or portfolio management or real estate finance.
