Platform Engineer (BI)

Location: Remote from Poland, Georgia, Gibraltar, or Serbia

What you will do

• Own and manage development, staging, and production data environments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and enforce IAM policies, role-based access controls, secrets rotation, and secure provisioning for BI tools.
• Configure GitLab runners and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
• Implement observability, proactive alerting, and root-cause analysis across data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Audit cloud resource usage, manage cost-allocation tagging, optimize spend, and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Core Infrastructure, and IT to unblock secure and reliable delivery.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools in data or analytics platforms.
• Strong experience with cloud IAM, secrets management, and security hardening.
• Experience operating GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, orchestration tools, and BI platforms.
• Experience implementing observability and monitoring for data infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud cost governance, resource tagging, and optimization recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience provisioning access for Looker or Tableau.
• Experience as an internal developer advocate within a data team.
