Senior Vice President, CLO & Structured Credit Ratings

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with four days in-office each week in most locations

Base salary: $149,357–$236,166 per year; 40% annual incentive target.

hirify.global DBRS provides independent credit ratings and opinions for corporate and sovereign entities, financial institutions, and project and structured finance instruments.

What you will do

• Lead credit ratings analysis for CLOs, CLO warehouses, feeder fund debt, secured facilities, and other structured credit transactions.
• Prepare for and lead management meetings, client calls, transaction discussions, and methodology consultations.
• Prepare and present discussion and committee memoranda for US structured credit rating committees.
• Author pre-sale, new issue, and other relevant credit rating reports and disclosures.
• Assess fund managers, investment portfolios, capital structures, legal documents, and legal, regulatory, and counterparty risks.
• Mentor junior analysts, support team initiatives, and contribute to surveillance, research, webinars, investor meetings, and conferences.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including structuring or analyzing CLOs, rated warehouses, or CLO-like financing facilities.
• Experience may also include funds, BDCs, private credit ratings, investment banking, funds-focused legal counsel, credit risk management, or other relevant market participation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas or models, pivot tables, and graphs.
• Strong research, analytical, written, verbal, interpersonal, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while producing accurate work.

Nice to have

• Credit rating agency experience and familiarity with rating processes and credit rating methodologies.
• Strong interest in credit funds, BDCs, CLOs, private credit, or private equity.
