Permitting Specialist

Location: Xi’an, Shaanxi, China; on-site

What you will do

• Develop and implement permitting strategies and work processes for Operations.
• Apply for, negotiate, and obtain permits and regulatory approvals.
• Analyze permitting laws and regulations and provide compliance support and training.
• Monitor emerging permitting issues, participate in regulatory discussions, and prepare agency comments.
• Provide permitting support to project management and coordinate environmental site assessments for acquisitions and divestitures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated competency.
• Experience with complex permitting practices, permit applications, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and prioritization skills.
• Must be based in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China.
• Fluent English and Chinese are required.
• Ability to work with people from different cultures and organizational levels while acting with integrity and following company policies.
