Associate Analytical Chemist (Food Chemistry)

Location: On site in Madison, Wisconsin, USA; Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm.

Food chemistry laboratory conducting testing for infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals.

What you will do

• Conduct routine analyses in compliance with methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Apply GMP and GLP practices across assigned laboratory responsibilities.
• Learn to operate laboratory equipment and software, including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS instrumentation.
• Document work, maintain laboratory records, and learn to perform peer review of data.
• Plan daily workloads, coordinate assignments with team members, and participate in project meetings.
• Work safely with laboratory materials and use required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• Relevant laboratory experience and strong scientific, computer, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or current/future sponsorship is required.
• Ability to work on site in Madison, work overtime or weekends as needed, and tolerate extended periods of standing and sitting.
• Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials, food allergens, laboratory hoods, benchtops, and required PPE.
