Commercial Contracts Attorney (Logistics)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; onsite full-time

Publicly traded global logistics company providing freight forwarding, trucking, customs brokerage, warehousing, distribution, and technology-based logistics services across six continents.

What you will do

• Advise internal clients on legal implications, risk exposures, best practices, and risk mitigation for real estate and procurement matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate confidentiality, lease, construction, equipment lease, asset purchase, services, and SaaS agreements.
• Represent business interests in interactions with landlords, vendors, and service providers.
• Support litigation management and respond to legal questions from global business teams.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives within the Legal Department and Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group.
• Manage multiple matters with different priorities while working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Law degree and professional license or authorization to practice law in Mexico in good standing.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required; nearly all written communications are conducted in English.
• Three to five years of legal experience in a law firm or the corporate legal department of a global corporation.
• Strong experience in real estate and commercial law, including significant contract drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to identify, assess, and communicate legal risks and support risk-adjusted business decisions.
• Strong judgment, communication, time management, prioritization, integrity, and interpersonal skills.

• Previous experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
