Credit Marketing & Communications – Copy Editor, Content – Toronto (Finance)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with four days in the office each week in most locations

Base salary: CAD 47,476.00–69,634.66 per year; annual incentive target: 5%

What you will do

• Edit and proofread press releases, credit rating reports, industry research, analytical methodologies, and other financial documents.
• Apply regional spelling conventions, editorial standards, brand requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with credit analysts, designers, management, and other stakeholders to refine content.
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and deliver accurate work with minimal supervision.
• Participate in an evening and weekend editorial on-call rotation for urgent business needs.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience as an editor, preferably in financial services or business journalism.
• Strong copy-editing, writing, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• University degree in a related field.
• Basic understanding of debt markets, securitization, and credit ratings.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
