Manager, IT - Data Engineering (Python/SQL): Leading a cross-functional team that builds and operates enterprise data pipelines, platform capabilities, and analytics solutions with an accent on data architecture, governance, and operational reliability. Focus on designing shared data frameworks, improving data quality through testing and monitoring, extending DevOps practices, and adopting AI and LLM-based tooling.
Location: Bengaluru, India — Brookfield GCC; full-time onsite role

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers while providing technical guidance and supporting individual development.
- Own end-to-end architecture decisions for data engineering projects and oversee data ingestion, processing, integration, and governance.
- Run scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog management, and day-to-day delivery activities.
- Develop shared data engineering frameworks and support onboarding, internal upskilling, certification, and knowledge-sharing programs.
- Ensure platform stability and operational SLAs, reduce manual intervention, and extend DevOps capabilities for data solution deployment and operation.
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to address data challenges and create data assets that deliver measurable value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related discipline, including at least 2 years in a technical lead or team lead role.
- Experience with enterprise data solutions, shared data frameworks, mission-critical data assets, and analytics products.
- Intermediate data design, data modelling, schema design, pipeline architecture, DevOps, and cloud skills across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong Python proficiency, advanced SQL, Agile delivery, scrum facilitation, and automated testing or data testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, medallion architecture, dimensional modelling, data lineage, certification, telemetry, and data quality frameworks.

- Experience with dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake.
