Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hyderabad office, APAC PSC GDOP, India

What you will do

• Lead application engineering across solution design, development, deployment, upgrades, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Design scalable, secure, end-to-end data and analytics solutions on Azure.
• Write, review, and test code while applying Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and modern engineering standards.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Resolve complex technical, performance, and integration issues to ensure reliable delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the engineering roadmap, platform evolution, and technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of data engineering experience, including hands-on Big Data development with Spark and Databricks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing, Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Quality, Airflow, and Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, API integrations, Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to lead technical design discussions and work hands-on with cross-functional and global teams.
