IT Audit Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; primarily in-office

What you will do

• Plan and execute technology audit engagements across applications, core infrastructure, information security, and change.
• Identify inherent technology and security risks and assess whether appropriate controls mitigate them.
• Monitor Japan IT modernization and cloud migration initiatives and perform change reviews.
• Support the annual risk-based audit plan and maintain technology business risk and control assessments.
• Test controls, communicate audit results, verify issues, and manage relationships with technology stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop innovative audit approaches using data analytics, automation, generative AI, and agile audit practices.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant audit experience, or relevant technology experience when transitioning into a risk and control role.
• Certified professional designation such as CIA, CISA, CISM, or CISSP, or the ability to obtain one within the first 12 months.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, presentation, project management, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to communicate difficult messages, determine appropriate escalation, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
• Japanese and English bilingual skills are preferred, with native proficiency in one language and upper-intermediate or business-level proficiency in the other.

Nice to have

• Experience conducting cloud technology audits with AWS and/or GCP.
• Cybersecurity audit experience.
• Experience using data analysis tools for auditing.
• Experience in financial services or insurance.
