[DS] Data Scientist (MedTech)

What you will do

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities, define analytical problems, and establish success metrics.
• Lead data science and AI projects end to end, coordinating cross-functional business, technology, and data engineering teams.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive, machine learning, and AI models for commercial activities, marketing strategies, customer experience, and business processes.
• Build and govern A/B testing and experimentation frameworks with statistical validity, interpretability, and compliance with internal standards.
• Evaluate data quality, operationalize models in business workflows, and monitor post-deployment performance to improve accuracy and impact.
• Communicate analytical insights, risks, limitations, and recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in business-related data science or advanced analytics.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering data science and AI projects in a business context.
• Strong knowledge of data mining, data analysis, model development and deployment, algorithm development, simulation, statistical methods, and machine learning techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more of R, Python, or SAS, plus strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Strong data visualization, text mining, project management, and communication skills.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese is required. A BSc or MSc in computer science or a related quantitative, computational, or STEM discipline is required.

Nice to have

• PhD, MSc, or BSc in a STEM subject with equivalent relevant knowledge.
• Knowledge of healthcare-related datasets.
• Experience or knowledge of the healthcare industry.
