Principal Forward Deployed Engineer - Data Scientist

What you will do

• Shape customer opportunities and translate business needs into actionable technical approaches.
• Build and deliver production-grade data science solutions in customer environments with end-to-end ownership.
• Accelerate time to value by delivering iterative, high-impact solutions in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
• Engage senior stakeholders, build trust, align priorities, and guide technical and business decisions.
• Apply industry and customer context to tailor solutions and prepare work for Forward Deployed Engineering crews.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 5+ years, master’s degree with 7+ years, or bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of data science experience; equivalent experience is also accepted.
• 5+ years of customer-facing, project-delivery, professional services, or consulting experience.
• Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end to end.
• Fluency in Japanese and English is required.

Nice to have

• Advanced academic background and 8–12+ years of data science experience, depending on degree level.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
