Senior Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Westminster, Colorado, United States. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Salary: $97,000–$126,500 per year

What you will do

• Identify improvement opportunities, analyze operating procedures, and develop root-cause countermeasures.
• Lead process-improvement workshops, Kaizen events, and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping activities, continuous-improvement roadmaps, and action plans aligned with business goals and metrics.
• Guide and mentor Lean practitioners and provide leadership with Lean and Six Sigma expertise.
• Plan and deliver employee training in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Perform machine capability and test-equipment capability studies using statistical software, and support quality audits and performance-metric development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an engineering or related degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in continuous quality improvement within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management System compliance.
• Demonstrated experience leading Kaizen events that eliminated waste and improved flow.
• Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, Value Stream Mapping, and Lean Six Sigma.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
• AS9100 or ISO 9000 auditor experience.
