Purchasing Team Lead (Supply Chain)

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Purchasing team through clear expectations, performance coaching, workload management, and KPI accountability.
• Manage purchasing and order fulfillment activities to support demand, improve inventory turns, and achieve accurate supplier delivery performance.
• Oversee order status, purchase order backlog management, shipment tracking, reporting, and delivery communications.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, provide quotes to sales, and drive supplier accountability and process improvements.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, transportation carriers, planners, sales, and customer operations to resolve delivery and order issues.
• Manage non-conforming inventory, aging inventory, product disposition, stock rotation, liquidations, and in-process failures.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of purchasing, order management, logistics, and applicable industry practices.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and data, develop solutions, and improve policies and procedures.
• Independent judgment and discretion when determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
• Experience coordinating work across departments and communicating with senior professionals and management.
• Ability to work onsite in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
