Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Tijuana, Mexico; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Ensure parts and finished products are available for production schedules and customer order fulfillment.
• Coordinate inventory across warehouse locations and manage material movement between warehouses and production areas.
• Manage suppliers and purchasing activities, balancing product quality, cost, delivery performance, and business requirements.
• Monitor weekly material requirements through the MRP system and place purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Coordinate scheduling, procurement, and material movement with production, warehouse, and engineering teams.
• Develop supplier improvement programs, optimize raw-material delivery, maintain supplier data, and support audits and indirect procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of related experience, including purchasing and planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, negotiation, verbal communication, listening, and customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to collaborate globally and build effective teams.
• English proficiency required in verbal and written communication.

Nice to have

• Oracle ERP experience and proficiency with Oracle.
• APICS, CPIM, or Purchasing CPM certification.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
