Principal Engineer (Full Stack & Platform)

Location: Madrid, Spain; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Architect and personally build critical customer-facing product surfaces.
• Own engineering decisions across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Develop the platform foundation, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability.
• Turn successful solutions into reusable components, services, design-system elements, and architectural patterns.
• Mentor senior engineers, lead architecture discussions, and remove delivery friction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience across product engineering and platform or SRE work.
• Expert-level React and TypeScript experience, with deep distributed-backend experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Architectural experience with GCP or AWS and hands-on Terraform expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and observable cloud-native systems.
• Experience with Product and Design collaboration, observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger, and scalable testing strategies.
