RNA-LNP Process Development Lab Manager - Group Leader (RNA-LNP)

Location: Boston, MA, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance of Boston. Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed.

Salary: $100,000-$115,000 per year, based on education and related experience.

What you will do

• Supervise laboratory operations for LNP and RNA process development and technology transfer studies.
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of process development scientists.
• Build and maintain raw material, consumable, and GLP sample inventory systems using an electronic lab notebook.
• Coordinate analytical sample submissions, track returned results, and communicate findings to partners and internal teams.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and develop maintenance programs for Agilent HPLC, AKTA Avant, and CGE systems.
• Author laboratory protocols and SOPs, monitor efficiency metrics, and coordinate with process development, analytical development, manufacturing, facilities, IT, and safety teams.

Requirements

• B.S. with 5+ years, M.S. with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of relevant pharmaceutical, CRO, or biotech experience.
• Prior laboratory supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining equipment used in nucleic acid process development, particularly AKTA Avant chromatography and Agilent HPLC systems.
• Strong scientific writing, communication, data analysis, troubleshooting, laboratory safety, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of nucleic acids, LNP, biologics process development, and analytical methods such as HPLC, CGE, or ELISA.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
