TL;DR
Analytical Consultant (Consumer Lending Analytics): Delivering descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis across the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle, using segmentation, logistic regression, and large population datasets with an accent on client-facing analytical engagements and actionable recommendations. Focus on designing statistical programs in R, Python, and Spark, extracting insights from large datasets, and presenting findings to internal and external customers.
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid work with in-person attendance at an assigned office for a minimum of two days per week

What you will do
- Participate in client analytics engagements across the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle.
- Perform descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis using techniques such as segmentation and logistic regression.
- Collaborate with data scientists and solutions consultants on analytic projects.
- Design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large population datasets.
- Deliver concise, compelling presentations of analytical insights and recommendations to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative or scientific field.
- Professional experience performing analytics in financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles.
- Advanced programming skills and proficiency in a statistical language such as R or Python; familiarity with Spark and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, creative problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
