Senior ML Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Travel to company summits twice per year is required.

Compensation: $140K–$225K annually, plus equity and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Build and maintain reusable utility ML libraries for forecasting, disaggregation, demand response, detection, and asset health.
• Ship tested, versioned, documented capabilities with evaluation harnesses, validation methods, benchmarks, and monitoring.
• Own a Rust-based building-energy simulation engine and its Python bindings, including validation and performance for city-scale simulations.
• Develop grid-data toolkits with protocol codecs, synthetic scenario generators, and verification utilities for realistic meter data.
• Build planning and dispatch support for demand-response programs where inaccurate outputs have material operational costs.
• Use feedback from client-facing teams and real-world deployments to improve shared capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of shipping applied machine learning for real-world signals such as forecasting, disaggregation, detection, classification, or reliability modeling.
• Strong numerical and scientific computing skills, including feature engineering from interval data and solver-level numerics.
• Professional Python experience and working ability in Rust or a comparable systems language.
• Experience building versioned, tested, documented libraries and evaluation harnesses for other engineers to use.
• Practical experience with Python, NumPy, pandas or Polars, scikit-learn, statsmodels, time-series feature engineering, forecasting or clustering libraries, and SQL with PostgreSQL or TimescaleDB-class systems.
• Current United States work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
