Commercial Loan Operations Workout Associate (Commercial Banking)

What you will do

• Support the servicing and administration of distressed, defaulted, and non-performing commercial loans.
• Coordinate with Special Assets, Credit Risk, and Legal teams to maintain accurate and timely workout-loan system updates.
• Process modifications, forbearance agreements, extensions, restructures, and other non-standard loan actions.
• Review workout and legal documentation and translate terms into accurate servicing-system entries.
• Track maturities, covenant breaches, forbearance expirations, delinquency, watchlist status, charge-offs, and recoveries.
• Maintain loan records and assist with collateral monitoring, foreclosure actions, payment application, accruals, and asset disposition tracking.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a large commercial bank or related financial institution.
• Basic understanding of commercial loan servicing and loan documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset.

Nice to have

• Four-year undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of CRE, C&I, construction, or SBA loan products.
• Familiarity with ACBS, AFSVision, nCino, or similar core loan servicing systems.
