What you will do

• Own the final quality checkpoint before dataset delivery, auditing code, technical, and reasoning data for correctness and adherence to specifications
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to automate and improve quality control workflows
• Partner with data delivery teams to identify and prevent systemic quality issues through feedback and contributor training
• Manage quality metrics and KPIs, reporting error rates and improvement trends to leadership
• Support company-wide operational initiatives across building, analysis, coordination, and execution

Requirements

• Location: Must work on-site in San Francisco
• 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, data science, ML engineering, or similar with proficiency in at least one modern programming language
• Proven ability to review and evaluate code and technical data for quality and correctness
• Experience leading quality assurance/control functions for technical or data-centric products
• High attention to detail and strong judgment on ambiguous technical content
• Strong leadership and communication skills to provide actionable feedback across distributed teams
• Passion for AI and entrepreneurial mindset

Nice to have

• Experience in AI training data, RLHF, or data-annotation quality assurance
• Background reviewing datasets across multiple domains including code and reasoning
• Experience designing rubrics, grading criteria, or automated QC tooling/scripts
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflow tools like Claude Code
• Computer science degree or equivalent engineering background
