Focus on defining requirements and interfaces, leading technical design reviews, translating customer needs into product requirements, and guiding a growing Munich engineering team.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end technical architecture of phased array communication systems from concept through detailed design, prototyping, and production.
  • Define and maintain system requirements, interface control documents, and design verification plans.
  • Lead internal and customer-facing technical design reviews with engineering leadership and external partners.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering to flow operational and customer needs into system requirements.
  • Mentor and guide the growing Munich engineering team while setting technical standards and making key design decisions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience developing advanced communications systems in satellite, defense, or aerospace environments, including system-level architecture.
  • Deep understanding of RF electronics, communication systems, digital systems, embedded software, FPGAs, and power electronics.
  • Experience driving architecture decisions independently across multidisciplinary engineering teams and working with technical customers.
  • Experience with high-reliability electronics, aerospace systems, small satellites, and defense or aerospace platform integration.
  • Fluent English required; working proficiency in German is beneficial.
