Assurance Supervisor - Private Client Services

Location: Toronto, Canada; consistent onsite presence at a firm office and travel to client sites are required.

Salary: CAD 67,500–116,100 annually, plus discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead assurance engagements from planning through completion, including audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, reportable condition letters, board communications, deficiency letters, and management letters.
• Coordinate client deliverables covering corporate, personal, and trust income tax services.
• Apply a risk-based approach and hirify.global methodologies while identifying industry-specific accounting and auditing issues.
• Supervise associates and seniors, monitor productivity and budgets, review work, and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Manage client communication, address concerns, escalate significant matters, and coordinate work across multiple engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another discipline from an accredited university.
• Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in the province of residence.
• At least four years of recent assurance experience in a public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, CASs, and other applicable accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience leading audit work from planning through completion, reviewing workpapers, overseeing substantive and control testing, and managing engagement workflows.
• Ability to maintain consistent onsite presence during core business hours, regularly report to a firm office, travel to client sites, and maintain reliable transportation.
