Accountant, Vendor Invoice Management (External)

Location: Wuxi, China; the role description also references work with the Purchase-to-Pay team in Shanghai. Full-time, leased-worker position.

What you will do

• Manage supplier master data and validate financial information through external supplier communication.
• Support Basware IA users and solve complex root causes in the vendor invoice management process.
• Handle service requests from the online portal and provide feedback or solutions within 24–48 hours.
• Perform accounting activities, reconciliations, financial validation, account specifications, and reporting in line with IFRS and applicable regulations.
• Coach accountants, controllers, and stakeholders on accounting principles and related systems.
• Lead gap identification, change management, transition solutions, documentation, and backup payment processing.

Requirements

• Expertise in Accounts Payable, including the full audit trail from supplier master data and logistics through the general ledger and reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, with previous experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams and functions.
