Diesel Technician C

Location: Metairie, Louisiana, USA; full-time onsite work

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks under the supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager.
• Inspect vehicle systems and identify potential equipment issues and malfunction sources using a variety of tools.
• Change oil, replenish fluids, adjust equipment, and perform light repairs including tire and light changes.
• Complete basic electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Complete applicable company training programs and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to work a regular onsite shift in Metairie, Louisiana.

Nice to have

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program.
• ASE T8 Preventive Maintenance certification.
