Claims Adjuster Accidents & Health (A&H)

What you will do

• Manage A&H claims enquiries, determine coverage, analyze quantum, and assess legal liability within authority limits.
• Resolve intermediate to advanced complex claims accurately, promptly, and with a strong customer focus.
• Manage vendors, litigation, and Third Party Administrators, including audits and compliance checks against claims handling guidelines.
• Communicate complex claims and portfolio developments to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain best-practice procedures and contribute to continuous improvement through quality assurance reviews and audit recommendations.
• Support financial control through consistent reserving, transaction discipline, and mitigation of indemnity and legal expenses.

Requirements

• Strong specialist experience and knowledge in Accidents & Health technical claims.
• Fluent English and the ability to interpret policy wording accurately and consistently.
• Basic knowledge of legal, regulatory, litigation, and procedural requirements relevant to the line of business.
• Experience following up on technical claims audit recommendations and improving claim handling.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, time management, prioritization, and diary management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and direct claims strategy with relevant stakeholders; a law degree is preferred.
