Product Operations Engineer (Node)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants in California, Colorado, and New York are not eligible.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test software solutions and RESTful web services for K-12 learning environments.
• Administer Canvas LMS, SIS platforms, and third-party integrations for new and existing schools.
• Build, host, maintain, and update application environments using AWS services.
• Analyze and resolve technical, application, and production issues, including deployment support and incident troubleshooting.
• Map enrollment and operational data into the learning ecosystem and support automation, custom reports, and data requests.
• Maintain documentation, provide training, coordinate vendor maintenance, and support school year-end rollovers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, systems engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience administering complex systems and integrations such as Canvas LMS, SIS, and Clever.
• At least 3 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Experience with RESTful web services, web applications, modern user interfaces, SQL, relational databases, message queues, and Git.
• Experience with AWS APIs and services including S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, and Redshift, plus Unix/Linux environments.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks, including FBI/BCI checks.

Nice to have

• Experience with training platforms and NoSQL document databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience with AWS CDK.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and perform under pressure.
