Software Engineer (AWS/JavaScript)

Location: Hybrid in Bloomington, Illinois; qualified candidates must live within close proximity to the Bloomington hub and work partly in the office.

Salary: $97,000–$135,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise solutions running on AWS.
• Build capabilities for Associate to Product Agreement Relationships across multiple business areas.
• Develop APIs, AWS Lambda functions, and event-driven solutions.
• Participate in migrating data and applications from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Implement prioritized Agile backlog stories and contribute to application and data design decisions.
• Support solutions throughout development and production while collaborating across modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with Java and object-oriented application development.
• Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot, AWS cloud technologies, AWS Lambda, and Amazon API Gateway.
• Experience with REST APIs, system integration, data management, and data migration.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or Node.js and AWS-based application development.
• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, Agile software development, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with React or Angular.
• Event-driven architecture and cloud data migration experience.
• Data modeling, data design, and taking major capabilities from design through production.
