Embedded Practice Control Officer (Finance)

Location: Chicago, IL; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship

Salary: $114,700–$194,900 USD per year, plus a discretionary bonus program that may include equity

What you will do

• Advise control leadership on implementing the control framework and maintaining effective control processes.
• Conduct process risk assessments and recommend improvements to preventative and detective controls.
• Support risk-based control testing, identify issues early, and report findings to control management.
• Plan and execute thematic reviews assessing the effectiveness of internal processes and client-specific servicing deliverables.
• Review policies and procedures for compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit remediation and other control programs, including methodology definition, execution, and action tracking.

Requirements

• 7+ years of risk and control experience.
• Professional experience with multidisciplinary functional exposure and proactive control activities.
• Experience in financial services and knowledge of the firm and industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain sensitive information and build consensus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
