Maintenance Mechanic 1 - ACAP (Advanced Composites)

Location: Casa Grande, Arizona, USA; onsite work on a 2x2x5x5 night shift

Salary: $34.15 per hour during the 90-day new-hire orientation period, increasing to $35.95 per hour afterward, plus a $1.75 per-hour shift premium. Overtime may be required.

What you will do

• Maintain, analyze, improve, disassemble, and repair Acousti-Cap equipment and processes.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and perform mechanical repairs on ACAP work cells and engineered-products equipment.
• Replace hydraulic and pneumatic parts, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, cylinders, pumps, and other components.
• Perform basic pipefitting, plumbing, threading, and layout work.
• Use micrometers, Vernier calipers, and other precision instruments to measure tolerances and verify product conformance.
• Complete equipment checks and prescribed preventive-maintenance activities to keep processes within specification.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mechanic or mechanical-maintenance experience; a relevant technical degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Working knowledge of computers and a valid driver license.
• Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings and write routine reports.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry, calculate measurements, and solve practical mechanical problems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, qualifying temporary resident, refugee, or asylee.
