Machine Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Centralia, Illinois, United States; onsite at a manufacturing facility. Overnight 3rd shift: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Pay range: $27.50–$29.00 per hour. The posted compensation range is $23.90–$44.40 per hour.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Install, move, maintain, and repair manufacturing machinery and facility systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to resolve equipment issues.
• Fabricate and repair machine components, guards, stands, and other equipment using machine shop tools and welding equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records, recommend corrective actions, and support plant safety initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, maintenance documentation systems, and basic computer tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, work at heights and around moving machinery, and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Technical trade school certification in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Machine Repair, or a related field.
