Cloud Architect (Cloud Security)

Location: Charlotte, United States

Salary: $101,000–$203,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Define cloud strategies, operating models, and scalable architectures for public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead cloud-native transformations, modernization, migrations, automation, and large-scale cloud adoption.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, cloud automation, integration software, and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Apply site reliability engineering practices to optimize application delivery, performance, and cloud operations.
• Manage squads of consultants and cloud engineers while reviewing the quality of client deliverables.
• Support client relationships, proposals, opportunity development, demonstrations, prototypes, and internal accelerator toolkits.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience delivering cloud engineering, implementation, migration, and architecture solutions.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and other common cloud IaaS and SaaS platforms.
• Proficiency in Terraform and cloud-native IaC tools such as CloudFormation, ARM, and Bicep.
• Experience with software development, build automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and private, public, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Proficiency in one or more relevant languages, including Python, Java, PowerShell, C#, .NET, Bash, or Go.
• Big 4, Big 3, or equivalent consulting experience, with strong client-facing communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional cloud consulting and engineering teams.
• Cloud security, Cloud FinOps, security frameworks, maturity models, and cloud security services experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools, DevOps automation tools, Kubernetes, Docker, container registries, and container security.
• GenAI infrastructure platform design and development experience, plus relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
