Staff Application Engineer (Power Electronics)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. Onsite role; remote work is not available. Travel to customer sites in Asia and the US is required.

What you will do

• Debug and validate digital multiphase power products at customer sites and solve complex technical problems with customers.
• Develop system-level power solutions aligned with detailed customer requirements and support marketing activities.
• Contribute to system validation of new controllers, Vertical Power Stages, and Smart Power Stages.
• Collaborate with IC designers and application engineering teams to provide design information for execution and verification.
• Create datasheets, performance reports, and application notes.
• Train application and field application engineers on products and support capabilities.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering with a power electronics focus; an MS degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in the power management industry.
• Experience with firmware-enabled products and powering large-scale ASIC, CPU, or GPU applications in data centers.
• Experience with multiphase DC/DC converters for Intel, AMD, or SoC systems and digitally enabled power management products.
• Knowledge of mixed-signal IC and system design, control loop theory, and its application to power converters.
• Proficiency with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and automated laboratory testing.
