What you will do

• Support the Department Supervisor by training and cross-training department personnel on equipment, procedures, and processes.
• Coordinate daily production requirements, hot orders, customer specifications, employee assignments, and changing priorities.
• Inspect and organize the department to maintain efficient product flow and maximize labor utilization.
• Monitor product information and movement through scanning equipment and tracking systems.
• Ensure safe and productive equipment operation, accurate productivity reporting, and compliance with company procedures.
• Maintain clean aisles, organized storage areas, accurate break schedules, paperwork, and safety housekeeping.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of department duties and the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Some college coursework or at least 3 years of experience in an automated distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Prior leadership experience and strong interpersonal, multitasking, and pressure-management skills.
• Working knowledge of facility automation, equipment, AS400, and PCs is desired.
• Certification in powered lift equipment operation is required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing.
